| My House Warming... At last, the date was selected on 26th Aug 2005 and my housewarming party materialised. With such short notice, I planned for a more Malaysian cook up. Guest list were cut down to roughly 22 person as my small pigeon hole couldn't fit everyone. The menu was also set and I had two sous chef, Ah Ching & Anne to help me out with the sambal petai, prawn curry, lamb leg, tom yam fish, ulam with tapioca leaves, cucumber & lady fingers, Hup Kee Otak Otak, coconut rice, yummy roast and barbeque porky :OP. There preparation part was encouraging because we're were quite high with wine & music :OP
The night went pass with 11 bottles of wine, some beer and hard stuff... Some were merry, some drunk and some turned into majong masters. The evening went through with lots of discussion but of what topics, I was unsure. ha ha. Henry's babies, hans and Phoebe made it too and took a lot of interest from the guests. See their cute pics. Well as for the pics, my chief editor Alice did her best till 2 a.m.
It was a good party although it would have been merrier with many other friends. Special thanks to those who helped me out. Hoora.

Well, a slow start but better than never I guess. Diving has influenced me in great many ways especially our coexistence with the dwindling marine life and its beauty. Pics here were taken in Sipadan 2004.

Sipadan has been the best spot I've dived so far. Apart from it's secluded location from the hustle and bustle of our daily live, it comes with a deep shelve of > 1000ft, plenty of marine lives, beautiful white sand beach and crystal clear water. Our group consist of namely Bob, Kueh, Penny (a.k.a sea cucumber), Karl, Kang, Wendy, Alvin, Andy, Ben, Stephen and meself of course.

The best dive spot has definitely got to be Baracudda Point in the early morning dive at )07:30. Why? We saw what we came for...... manta rays!!!. One did a flip 3 times on the surface while we were in the boat perhaps eager to say hello to us or were into a feeding frenzy.

Second early dive at the same spot reveals an even more beautiful encounter. A school of mantas glided pass me (depth ¡Ö 30m) and I manage to shoot a short video of it :OP. Ok ok.. mantas weren't all we saw. There were trevallies, lots of surgeon fish and turtles. White tip sharks popped out sometimes while the giant trigger fish gave us a constant reminder not to venture too near to their nest. There were moorish idol dancing around like Billy Idol, wiggly sea cucumbers, giant bumphead parrot fish and lots of others. I'll recommend a good book for reference, a book by Helmut Debelius with the title Indian Ocean Reef Guide.

The crew at Sipadan Dive Resort were all very friendly and helpful. Food was good and there were plenty to go around. Drinks??? Even better.... we manage to haggle for a bottle of Tanduay Rum (from the Philipines), pool up our personal bottles and headed for the party at the Drop Off Jetty singing the Sipadan Song. Fortunately, we had Algere who's an excellent guitarist with us. It was nice to meet up with some of the crew from Borneo Divers where we stayed in 2003. All in all, it was a splendid time with a great bunch of friends both on land & underwater. Long live all the divers...
| Now...this is a breakthrough for me. My first web blog and a very kind friend of mine, Alice helped out 100%, thank you. "The Pablo" was indeed inserted by her when she had a bad hiccup "eek eek eek" :OP (I will learn how to change it in good time). I shall try to input my experiences here in time to come. Muaaahh haaa haaa. For now, it's..."hello...testing one, two, three......."
